This skill is one of the foundations of STEM careers for the next generation. This course is designed to inspire your child to pursue STEM academics and is their first step toward a future STEM career in programming and robot controls. \nStudents will learn basic programming principles needed to program and control an FTC Robot. Hands-on exercises encourage students to think like a coder and develop important logic and problem-solving skills. \nUsing block coding students will be able to grasp the syntax necessary to code. Guided by our instructors\, participants will create basic code for the operation of a robot. At the end of this course\, students should have the foundation to be able to translate their knowledge into whatever additional coding software they choose and control a Robot! \nClass Schedule\nEvery Tuesday\, there are two sessions available at either 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM \nClass Start day: 10/03 and End day\, 11/28 \nThe program will be delivered in person at 2102 Cambridge Beltway Drive. \nEvery student will need his/ her own computer to participate in the class. DESCRIPTION:Looking for an exciting way to learn about robotics and coding in STEM? Look no further than our Drone Program!\n12 weeks after school programs are available in Fall 2023!\nThis program combines the latest technology with hands-on learning to engage and inspire students.  In this after school program\, you will explore the basic of coding and programming. You’ll experience a challenge you can’t experience with video games: how the program interacts with the physical environment. You’ll practice and develop your real-life problem-solving skills. \nOur program is perfect for students who love to learn with their hands. In addition to learning from guest speakers on STEM careers\, you’ll brainstorm as a group to use your creativity and teamwork skills to create a plan to make drones “dance” synchronously for the final show! \nThe schedule is one 90 minutes session per week starting the week of September 18 for 12 weeks (skip the Thanksgiving week). There are two starting times and pick the one fits your family’s busy schedule.

DESCRIPTION:Graphic Design/Animation and Reading Summer Camp For Middle and High School Scholars \nWeek of June 24th – 28th\, 2023 \n9:00 am to 4:00 pm \nCAMP DESCRIPTION: At the end of the five-days Hands-On Graphic Design and Animation Summer Camp\, students will be able to apply a variety of Powtoon graphic design and animation programs by creating and animating various graphics and pictures. This camp will focus on using the Kids Animation Academy curriculum. \nThis reading camp will get students to read in fun and unique ways. Our core belief is that literacy is a basic right for everyone. We are committed to educating individuals and raising awareness about the challenges of illiteracy. Campers will be challenged to read as many books as possible before the start of the next school year. Readers will be given incentives or awards for reading achievements. Items such as stickers\, bookmarks\, popcorn party or bubble gum day. Campers will journal daily\, participate in group and individual reading\, write short stories and poetry\, share during book reviews\, partake in reading scavenger hunts and demonstrate their creativity with open mic. Meet the students and experience the final projects they’ve put together to demonstrate their skills as software developers. \nAll are invited – employers\, partners\, community members\, fellow programmers and entrepreneurs\, so join us and bring a friend. \nThis is also a great opportunity to meet our team and learn more about what we’re doing at Carolina Code School. \nLight refreshments will be provided. Parking is available at the NEXT Innovation Center. \n*Masks are not required\, but are strongly recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated.
