Virtual Coding Summer Camp is available for your family

  • Coding Camp is for a duration of one (1) week (Monday - Thursday).  
  • Each family will be given a login so all children in the family, who want to learn, can join in!

Coding camps are open to students in grades 3-12. Please see each camp details for specific grade levels.

July 13 - 16, 2020

Code A One Page Website: Introduction to the text-based programming languages HTML & CSS Programming

Grades: 5th - 12th
Monday - Thursday; 1 PM-3 PM EST (10 AM-12 PM PST)
Cost: $60/week per family

No programming experience needed! Students will learn basic computer programming (coding) and build a one page website with HTML and CSS programming languages. Digital starter kit provided.

July 20 - 23, 2020

Theme: Think Like A Programmer - Code A Music Video

Grades: 3rd - 12th
Monday - Thursday; 1 PM-3 PM EST (10 AM-12 PM PST)
Cost: $40/week per family

Campers will learn computer programming (coding) through a fun and interactive series of lessons created by Google CS-First. We will use the “Music & Sound” theme from Google to teach Scratch programming scripts that allow campers to play musical notes and create a music video.

Students will have a "passport book" from Google CS-First mailed to them.  This basic manual provides campers with their login credentials, reminders, and coding tips so they can continue to code at home on any Internet enabled computer or chromebook.

July 27 - 30, 2020

Theme: Think Like A Programmer - Game Design

Grades: 3rd - 12th

Monday - Thursday; 1 PM-3 PM EST (10 AM-12 PM PST)
Cost: $40/week per family

Recommended for older children or kids who have used Scratch programming before. Students will learn basic video game coding concepts while they create an online game.

  • Maximum logins per camp: 10
  • Camp will start at 1 PM EST/10 AM PST each day, Monday-Thursday

  • One (1) login per family

  • Basic Virtual Camp Requirements: Mac, Windows PC, or Chromebook (may not work for Web Development), Stable internet connection with access to scratch.mit.edu and Zoom Video Conferencing
